CHTHONIC recently released their latest music video for “Quell The Souls In Sing Ling Temple.” The song comes off the band’s sixth full-length, Takasago Army, released earlier this fall via Spinefarm Records. The video was shot in Taiwan at a the band’s special outdoor concert at Sing-Ling Temple in October where more than a thousand people from around the country gathered. Sing-Ling Temple is a historical landmark in the town of Puli and located on an ancient battlefield. It serves as the most essential scene in CHTHONIC‘s trilogy story. The full concert will be released on DVD next year.
In related news, CHTHONIC will kick off a short European tour next week alongside Arch Enemy and Warbringer. Commented bassist Doris Yeh: “We toured with Arch Enemy, DevilDriver and Skeletonwitch in North America this past September and saw good crowds and great fans. We had a lot of fun with those bands! We then went to the UK tour with Turisas and Kiuas from Finland. I really enjoyed Turisas’ joyful performance and Kiuas is a very good band also who always made us laugh backstage. And finally, the European tour is waiting for us! We will play with Arch Enemy and Warbringer over the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. This is the second time for us to tour European countries since 2007, so we’re really looking forward to it!”
