As Selfmadegod Records prepares to release the fourth studio full-length from Swedish death metal outfit THOSE WHO BRING THE TORTURE, American Aftermath is now streaming Piling Up in its devastating entirety.
With ten direct, sinister death metal hymns that will categorically satisfy fans of Hypocrisy, Malevolent Creation and Grave, Piling Up proves to be the fiercest material from THOSE WHO BRING THE TORTURE to date. The record was recorded at The Rotpit and Studio Roadkill in late 2013, mixed and mastered by Brynjar Helgetun at Studio Brainjar, and bears cover artwork by Roberto Toderico (Sinister, Asphyx). Alongside an exclusive early stream of the album, American Aftermath states, “This is the death metal that other death metal has nightmares about,” continuing, “Piling Up is a definitive runner for death metal album of the year and you all need to stop whatever meaningless task you are up to this fine morning and get a face full of bastard-smashing death.”

THOSE WHO BRING THE TORTURE is currently comprised of founder Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Ribspreader, Putrevore, Revolting, Down Among The Dead Men, Megascavenger, Bone Gnawer) on guitars, bass and vocals, and Dennis Blomberg (Down Among The Dead Men, Paganizer) on guitars and bass. Formed in 2007, the band has released three full-length albums to date. Their self-titled debut album was disbursed on their year of formation via No Colours, their 2008 follow-up, Tank Gasmask Ammo, released via Pulverised, and after disbanding in 2010, the band reformed two years later, TWBTT released Lullabies For The Deranged via Metal Inquisition in 2012. Having inked a deal with Poland’s Selfmadegod Records, THOSE WHO BRING THE TORTURE strikes back in 2014 with their fourth album, Piling Up.
