Following a successful Autumn tour of Europe with Leaves’ Eyes and Diabulus In Musica, MELTED SPACE, the ambitious metal opera project created by composer Pierre Le Pape, will take the works from their debut album, The Great Lie, to the cities of Europe in support of Symphony X this Winter.
The Underworld Europe Tour 2016 will see MELTED SPACE and Tunisian prog rock act Myrath supporting headliners Symphony X, the tour confirmed to run from February 12th through March 20th, with twenty-eight concerts confirmed at press time. The full live lineup of the band will be announced in the weeks ahead.
On the upcoming tour, MELTED SPACE will be performing material from the band’s Sensory Records-released The Great Lie, the maiden studio recordings from massive metal/opera project. Written and conducted by Pierre Le Pape, the album is an incredibly powerful, layered masterwork, featuring an intense storyline with a wide cast of characters performed by guest vocalists including David Vincent (Morbid Angel), Attila Csihar (Sunn O))), Mayhem), Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity), Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon), Ailyn Gimenéz (Sirenia), Kobi Fahri (Orphaned Land), Mariangela Demurtas (Tristania) and other vocalists, as well as music by an all-star cast of musicians and the entire City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
An exclusive making-of The Great Lie video including in-depth interviews with Pierre Le Pape, footage of some of the studio sessions and much more has been published through Deezer, giving fans a highly personal account of the creation of the album and how MELTED SPACE transformed from an aspiring idea to a massive personal accomplishment with incredible results.
