Desert Hellfire is the harrowing first recorded outing from SRBM – or, SONORAN REBEL BLACK MAGICK — a new acoustic outlaw/Western venture of Lord Mantis and Avichi guitarist/vocalist Andrew Markuszewski.
Spawned in the barren Arizona desert and reflects the doom and desolateness of the West through song. Musically inspired by Ennio Morricone Spaghetti Western soundtracks and the artist’s favorite country outlaws of the past, SRBM begins another fire out in his darkness. Recorded using an old ’60s Gibson Hummingbird and some vintage hats and kick drum at Flying Blanket Studios with engineer Bob Hoag, and mastered by Collin Jordan at The Boiler Room, SRBM‘s Desert Hellfire EP delivers three sprawling tunes which lyrically reflect upon burying enemies in nameless graves, long rambling nights, and general outlaw behavior, melding monastic elements with vehemence.
Those who reflect upon life’s more dissolute moments in solitude, plotting schemes of retribution by firelight will want to exact their next round of vengeance to the grim plodding of SRBM‘s Desert Hellfire.
Desert Hellfire is streaming in its entirety and available digitally and in wallet CD format direct from SRBM now at THIS LOCATION.
