MARTYRDÖD, the unparalleled Swedish giants of modern metallic d-beat, are streaming their new full-length List, via Team Rock’s Subterranea days before its official release via Southern Lord this Friday.

Behold MARTYRDÖD’s crushing full-length, List RIGHT HERE.

MARTYRDÖD are central figures in the modern era of the international crust community – in no small part due to their members’ links to other exemplary bands such as Skitsystem and Agrimonia – and over the years, their powerful allure has resonated with listeners across the spectrum of heavy, enamored by their bleak outlook and scorching melodies. For fifteen years, the members of MARTYRDÖD have honed their craft to a level of mastery, and it shows – List is quite possibly the most refined record to slip in to their furious, spiky discography, and it doesn’t let up for a moment. The combination of crisp Scandinavian metal distortion and intricate, folk-like guitar leads contribute to a record that feels like one for the ages — very much like the fearsome, In Extremis. List is an artistic highpoint!

This Friday November 25th, Southern Lord will release MARTYRDÖD‘s List worldwide on CD and digital as well as on LP in North America. In Europe, the LP is being handled via La Familia, and D-Takt and Råpunk. Orders can be placed at the Southern Lord website.

MARTYRDÖD is currently confirming live shows for 2017, including a set at the upcoming Netherlands Death Fest and Close-Up Båten cruise in March, with more widespread tour dates to be revealed in the weeks ahead.

MARTYRDÖD Live:
3/03-05/2017 Netherlands Death Fest – Tilburg, NL
3/30/2017 Close-Up Båten Cruise – FI/SE

“This band plays fast, simple, thundering music with fire and dedication and excitement. There’s classic D-beat in their sound, and there’s also soaring, melodic death metal. The way they play it, the two disparate genres might as well be the exact same thing. And for those of us who have trouble with metal when it’s not at least a little bit punk, it’s the sort of thing where you find yourself involuntarily punching the air on first listen.” – Stereogum

“We have our own battles to fight in the here and now, just as our ancestors did; humanity can be relied upon to continually churn out noxious ideas and oppressive people that must be opposed. These songs are battle hymns for our own time, which harken back to an earlier age…There is only one MARTYRDÖD, and List may be their crowning achievement.” – No Clean Singing
