DEATH VANISH: Connecticut Black Metal Unit To Release Cold Hammer Of Melancholy EP Via Eternal Death Next Month; New Track Streaming

Connecticut black metal unit DEATH VANISH will unleash the traumatic, four-song Cold Hammer Of Melancholy EP via Eternal Death next month.

The solo project of One Master guitarist/vocalist Valder, DEATH VANISH is unabashedly influenced by the primitive sounds of Beherit and Profanatica. Playing select live shows with a full lineup, the song writing and all instruments on the recorded material is performed solely by Valder. DEATH VANISH‘s Cold Hammer Of Melancholy EP follows last year’s split with Misanthropos and will be released on cassette via Eternal Death on November 16th.

In advance of its release, opening psalm “Solipsism And Antichrist” is currently streaming at the DEATH VANISH Bandcamp page.

Offers Valder of the track, “The opening track ‘Solipsism And Antichrist’ is primarily inspired by the mid-tempo, pummeling moments on Beherit’s ‘Drawing Down The Moon,’ with the bass guitar playing a more prominent role than the songs on our earlier release.”

“Death Vanish” refers to the instinct to isolate oneself – to “die” and “vanish” from the external world into one’s own. On both a micro level (i.e. leaving a particular social or life situation) and macro level (i.e. leaving the bounds of the material world), the ideology of this project is to understand and harness the power of this inward looking instinct.
