The release of Planetary Clairvoyance, the devastating third full-length from Toronto, Ontario death metal faction TOMB MOLD, is upon us. The entire album is now streaming through an exclusive advance stream hosted by Kerrang! Magazine, alongside an interview with the band, which is posted in advance of the record’s release through 20 Buck Spin this Friday. TOMB MOLD‘s East Coast tour with labelmates Superstition is also now underway.

TOMB MOLD accelerates unhinged toward infinite resurrection on Planetary Clairvoyance. Already being heralded as one of the most critically acclaimed death metal releases of the year, Planetary Clairvoyance delivers the explosive weight of a collapsing black hole. As with their acclaimed Manor Of Infinite Forms LP, Planetary Clairvoyance was tracked by Sean Pearson at Box Car Studios in Toronto and then mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Volahn, Scorched). The amalgamation of the huge sound of the prior album and the gritty particle chaos of their Primordial Malignity debut come into boundless unity on Planetary Clairvoyance. The record is completed with cover art by Jesse Jacobi with additional artwork by Lucas Korte.

Kerrang! has interrogated the TOMB MOLD crew, the interview now posted alongside the early stream of Planetary Clairvoyance, referring to the album as, “not only their best album, but also one of death metal’s fiercest and most diverse offerings in recent memory.” The feature continues: “Planetary Clairvoyance takes a number of ideas and emotions and wraps them in abstract cosmic gore, a sharp contrast from Manor Of Infinite Forms‘s concept of a world within our world. Lofty ideas like ego death and past life hypnosis combined with more tangible and certain actualities like heartbreak and death make Planetary Clairvoyance a very personal – yet almost alien – piece of music.”

Planetary Clairvoyance will see release this Friday, July 19th on digital, CD, cassette, and LP formats. The first vinyl pressing is packaged with a bonus gatefold insert with additional artwork. Find preorder options including merch bundles at the 20 Buck Spin webshop HERE and via Bandcamp HERE.

Recklessly devouring the world into a vortex of alternate dimensional planes with Manor Of Infinite Forms, TOMB MOLD has crashed through boundaries with the impact of an ocean sized asteroid. Somewhere between outer space, inner space, and the unseen dark matter in between all space they’ve devised an alchemical formula both crushingly oppressive and rapidly expanding outward in every direction.

Waking from stasis for the third time in three years, new record Planetary Clairvoyance is the sum of knowledge gained and aeons absorbed, concentrated into a single massive tome of arcane wisdom and implausible physics. Like the album’s cover art, it exists in a domain of alien anatomical abnormality, malign flora and cold void desolation, warping and deforming the familiar into unknown obscurity.
