WITCH VOMIT: Invisible Oranges Streams Buried Deep In A Bottomless Grave Full-Length; Record To See Release This Friday Via 20 Buck Spin

Something evil is stirring in the Pacific Northwest… an entity too wicked and vile to exist on this planet has begun to drag itself up from the darkest depths of hell’s abysmal void to take its rightful place as the ruling force of Oregon and Washington’s extreme metal scene.” — Invisible Oranges

Invisible Oranges is currently streaming Buried Deep In A Bottomless Grave, the latest full length from Portland, Oregon-based death practitioners WITCH VOMIT, in its barbaric entirety.

The premiere comes in advance of the record’s official release this Friday via 20 Buck Spin. Writes Invisible Oranges, “Something evil is stirring in the Pacific Northwest… an entity too wicked and vile to exist on this planet has begun to drag itself up from the darkest depths of hell’s abysmal void to take its rightful place as the ruling force of Oregon and Washington’s extreme metal scene. Acting as a second coming of one of music’s most beastly and primordial movements, so-called OSDM revival has emerged as a re-imagining of grimy, gore-soaked old-school death tunes endowed with enough modern twists to cast new light into the genre’s ancestral origins. At the forefront of this movement are the folks at 20 Buck Spin, a label which is pushing the limits of this revival toward but delivering in spades along the way. WITCH VOMIT is the latest uncovered gem of the PNW, incorporating the jagged violence and sheer terror of Stockholm-style Swedish 1990s death metal into a classic American death metal sound. The Portland-based quartet serves up raw yet atmospheric soundscapes of horror.”

Succeeding 2017’s Poisoned Blood MLP, WITCH VOMIT digs deeper into the ground than ever before with their second full-length torrent of skull-bashing, worm-ridden horror from beyond. Featuring members of fellow Portland crushers Torture Rack, WITCH VOMIT moves toward perfecting the surgical fusion between the driving Scandinavian style violence and subconscious terror that they’ve previously established and the gore obsessed smashing of their American forbears. Subtlety is abolished for a savage attack, imprinted on your withering mind like an impulsive stab to the throat from a crazed stranger, all the while a dreadful sense of eerie melody rings throughout the album.

WITCH VOMIT‘s Buried Deep In A Bottomless Grave was recorded and mixed by Evan Mersky (Mournful Congregation, Hellshock, Nightfell) and mastered by Dan Randall (Meatwound, Necrot, Ghoul, Vivasick) with artwork by Matt Stikker (Outer Heaven, Power Trip), Fans of Entombed, Necrophobic, Exhumed, Dismember, and Carnage pay heed.

The record will be released and CD, LP, cassette, and digital formats August 30th. Find physical preorders at THIS LOCATION. For digital preorders, visit the 20 Buck Spin Bandcamp page at THIS LOCATION.

WITCH VOMIT will appear at Eliminator Fest featuring Deceased, Morbid Saint, Bewitcher and more this September with additional performances to be announced in the coming weeks.

WITCH VOMIT knows their way around a solid death metal composition, creating a vile and volatile version of the genre that is at once straight-ahead and brutalizing while also being complex and unique.” – Revolver

“Influences ranging from Sweden’s Dismember to American stalwarts such as Incantation (as well as Autopsy) reside side-by-side in their leather clutch of death as WITCH VOMIT prepares for a night on the town. Inside the clutch you will find poison, ten drams of vole’s blood, two whammy bars, a pill that gives worms to ex-girlfriends, and multiple dried body parts just waiting to be surreptitiously dropped into someone’s drink rendering that person the perfect subject for cauldron worship.” Last Rites
