GRIDFAILURE: Scene Point Blank Hosts Exclusive October Stream Of Psychological Badlands: Henchpersons Instrumentals; Album To See Independent Halloween Release

As New York-based harsh/horror experimental outfit GRIDFAILURE prepares to release the instrumental full-length Psychological Badlands: Henchpersons Instrumentals on Halloween, Scene Point Blank is now hosting the album for exclusive streaming in its entirety for the month of October.

Psychological Badlands: Henchpersons Instrumentals was recorded, designed, and mixed by GRIDFAILURE‘s hostile alchemist David Brenner at his Rockland County, New York-based DIY lair, The Compound. Henchpersons who join Brenner performing on the record include Benjamin Levitt (Megalophobe, Gridfailure-live), Pete Tsakiris, Richard Muller (The Third Kind, Vise Massacre, Gridfailure-live), BJ Allen (Full Scale Riot), Lane Oliver (Feel Happiness), Steve Truglio (Jean-Luc Ponty Band, King Dead), and Joe D’acci, Brenner created the cover art utilizing photos of his own and of his sister, Amanda Helwig.

Scene Point Blank writes with their early stream of the ghoulish rapture, “While GRIDFAILURE has already released five records this year, Psychological Badlands: Henchpersons Instrumentals stands out as an illustration of what makes the Dave Brenner experimental project so unique.”

Psychological Badlands: Henchpersons Instrumentals sees digital release through GRIDFAILURE‘s Bandcamp on Halloween 2019. Obtain for $1.38 with two instant download tracks, “Fluid Explosive Tectonics” and Buttercup/Greased Rat” HERE.

Watch for GRIDFAILURE‘s second installment in the five-album Sixth Mass-Extinction Skulduggery series, collaborative albums with Fyrhtu, Pornohelmut, Feel Happiness, Megalophobe, Chrome Waves, and much more to see release over the coming months.

Following shows and tour dates with Zud, and shows with Deafkids, Meth, Reg Bloor, Willzyx, Voarm, Somnolent, and more in 209, GRIDFAILURE is booking new tour dates, including a brutal winter mini-tour of New England and more.

GRIDFAILURE‘s bizarre, anti-genre field trials continue to yield an uncontrollable flow of results. The solo collaborator-drenched project presents its sixth release of 2019 with Psychological Badlands: Henchpersons Instrumentals. Amassing a wide range of troubled, vocal-free tracks, the collected carrion on Psychological Badlands: Henchpersons Instrumentals feature a wide cast of project creator David Brenner’s close allies (henchpersons). The album was heavily captured in improvisational live jams with several members performing together, weaving a twisted web of auditory oddities. Conceptually far removed from the GRIDFAILURE‘s multiple ongoing concept series’ and plotted storylines, Psychological Badlands is a toxic implosion of creeper experimentation created in different sessions over the past few years since the project’s 2016 inception. All unplanned, many recorded elements were captured live, some as atavistic as recording on portable/hand-held devices.
