ReEvolution, the second full-length and middle segment of the ongoing dystopian trilogy of albums from Pleasanton, California-based progressive metal supergroup CYNTHESIS, is officially out worldwide today via Sensory Records, a division of The Laser’s Edge.
To celebrate its release, today longtime metal outlet Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles is streaming ReEvolution in its entirety alongside a track-by-track breakdown of the album’s storyline by vocalist Erik Rosvold; check it out RIGHT HERE.
A short documentary on ReEvolution and an official video for the track “The Most Trivial Pursuit” are also in the final stages and will be released in the coming days.
CYNTHESIS reunites three of the original members of Zero Hour — brothers Jasun and Troy Tipton (guitars and bass, respectively, both also of Abnormal Thought Patterns) and vocalist Erik Rosvold, along with Enchant drummer Sean Flanagan. Their first album DeEvolution began a dystopian trilogy of releases, and now the middle installment of the series is set for release with ReEvolution, the engaging storylines of this band’s magnificent anthems as rich as the complex musical arrangements which carry the plot. Mixed and co-produced by Forrester Savell and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side, ReEvolution boasts forty-five minutes of some of the most imaginative progressive metal of the year.
