Today Portland metal/punk unit, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, in conjunction with mega music portal, Vevo, unveils their latest audiovisual undertaking for the track, “Acid Fuzz.” The Technicolor animation film was created by director Adam Avilla and comes on the eve of the official North American release of Chemistry Of Consciousness!
Kick your Monday in the buttcheeks with the ultra-evil, deviously absorbing, tripnotic cartoon adventures of “Acid Fuzz” at THIS LOCATION.
Chemistry Of Consciousness was recorded by the band, mixed with Kurt Ballou (Converge) at GodCity Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, From Ashes Rise, Nails) at Audiosiege Engineering. Easily TOXIC HOLOCAUST‘s most musically and conceptually mature undertaking to date, the record has earned critical fuck-yeahs globally for its blazing riffs, gravelly, venom-coated vocals, and a deadly fixation on the evil in man and a post-apocalyptic world all wrapped in a DIY attitude. Think Discharge on speed; Slayer with a punk rock chip on its shoulder, The Exploited on a Metallica overdose… Chemistry Of Consciousness is currently streaming in its entirety, courtesy of Relapse Records, HERE.
TOXIC HOLOCAUST will take their sonic wreckage roadside next month on the first tour in support of Chemistry Of Consciousness. The shenanigans will commence November 16th in Trenton, New Jersey and find the band spreading their contagion through much of the Northeast, coming to a close December 1st in Island Park, New York. TOXIC HOLOCAUST will be joined by Ramming Speed and In Defence. Additionally, the band will perform a special Halloween procedural in Portland on October 31st with Stovokor, followed by a show in Seattle with Poison Idea and the Dwarves on November 1st. See a confirmed listing of dates below. More live assaults to be announced in the coming weeks.

“…one of thrash’s most exciting modern bands…” – Loudwire
“…the aural equivalent of a cobra with a chest tattoo of a double helix and syringes for fangs getting ready to strike amidst two flesh-like walls of anxious, bloodshot eyes…” – MetalSucks
“Grind pierces the veil with increased vigor on songs about government overreach (‘International Conspiracy’), covert mind control experiments (‘MK Ultra’) and the hive mind mentality (the title track)…. He’s also smart enough to recognize the symmetry between a song’s title and lyrics (ie Venom’s ‘To Hell and Back,’ Metallica’s ‘Master Of Puppets,’ 95 percent of Motörhead’s catalog) is enough to transform it into an anthem. ‘Out Of The Fire’ and ‘Deny The Truth’ are metal-with-a-capital-M and easily the best songs to come out of the TOXIC HOLOCAUST camp since Grind transitioned from a solo project to a full band approach in 2009……” – Decibel
“This album is the result of Discharge, GBH and Motörhead meeting old school thrash metal and having a demented baby. The riffs are super-fast, and have that classic d-beat aggressiveness to them… one of the best TOXIC HOLOCAUST albums to date.” – Axis Of Metal
“…if there ever was a band to be the soundtrack for the end of mankind and society it would be TOXIC HOLOCAUST.” – Skullbanger
“Chemistry of Consciousness genuinely feels like TOXIC HOLOCAUST has struck gold, instead of looking to the past for inspiration; in other words, they’ve finally found a unique personality, as opposed to building upon a spin-off of another artist’s sound… Is Chemistry of Consciousness the best record in TOXIC HOLOCAUST‘s discography? I’d say so…” – Metal Advisor
