ATOLL: Fallout Frenzy By Phoenix Outfit Streaming At Decibel Magazine; Album Sees Release Friday Via Gore House Productions

Atoll live 3

Fallout Frenzy, the gory new full-length from Phoenix slam metal brutes, ATOLL, is now streaming in its entirety at Decibel Magazine ahead of its official release this Friday through Gore House Productions.

ATOLL‘s second album, Fallout Frenzy delivers ten new tracks of the band’s vicious pure American death metal, loaded with heavy, murky riffs, contagious melodies, and punishing breakdowns. The album was produced by ATOLL and mixed/mastered by vocalist Wade Taylor at Filthy Swine Studios (Fetal Disgorge), and features art by Australian comic illustrator Steve Lehmann (Dark Oz Comics’ Decay, etc.).

Decibel Magazine is streaming Fallout Frenzy ahead of its release, noting of the record, “If you like your death metal on the brutal side with a generous helping of slam, Arizona wreckers ATOLL are here to fulfill your needs. Fallout Frenzy, their second full-length, strikes with all the subtlety of an atomic bomb. That is to say, ATOLL pile on the crushing riffs, bludgeoning rhythm section and guttural vocals without restraint.”

Metal Injection referred to ATOLL‘s output on Fallout Frenzy as, “the most heinous goddamn slam we’ve heard in years.” Dead Rhetoric’s review states, “Guttural vocals and bludgeoning riffs are the necessary components and you’ll find them in spades… Fallout Frenzy manages to craft a slam album that, while safely falling in the confines of the genre, never overdoes things to that point. Odd to call an album like this ‘tasteful,’ but the songwriting is always consistent and engaging.” Toilet Ov Hell offers, “ATOLL aren’t about to change your perception or understanding of anything, but they’ll sure as hell give you the perfect excuse to mosh around in your cubicle. My only advice is that you don’t listen to them if your line of work involves sharp objects spinning at high speeds and/or alarmingly perilous heights. Not the best of places to try and hate mosh in (#safetyfirst).”
