BLOW THE SCENE Hosts PAWS Benefit Show July 10th: Mother Brain, Gut Feeling, Grin And Bear It, Die Choking, Drones For Queens To Perform

Next week, Philadelphia-based underground music, arts and activism webzine, Blow The Scene, will host its annual benefit show for PAWS — the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society — with a wide array of artists set to perform and a wealth of other activities confirmed.

Blow The Scene Presents A Night of Music / Art & Animal Love, set to take place next Friday, July 10th at The Pharmacy in South Philly. Sponsored by Psychics.com, Earsplit PR and Sit & Spin Records, the show will be used to collect donations to aid PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society), and will include live performances from Mother Brain (Long Island grindcore champs), Gut Feeling (North Carolina hardcore act with members of Catharsis, Undying and more), Grin And Bear It (Cleveland powerhouse PV/punk), Dying (Philly XVX hardcore), Die Choking (Philly hyper grinders) and Drones For Queens (Philly shredders).

Additionally, an art show is part of the benefit, where many artists from all over the world are donating art prints that will be on display and for sale at this cash and carry event curated by Ryann Casey. Attendees will be able purchase rad art pieces for very reasonable prices. All monies collected from the art sales in addition to the $10 admittance fee will ALL be donated to PAWS!

Those not in the area can also take part in the benefit; people everywhere can donate and get awesome rewards from BlowTheScene including band pictures of your choice printed on METAL!

Check it all out and please support the fundraiser RIGHT HERE.

Also see the official event page HERE, an article on the bands performing at the show HERE,

Those attending please do not bring your pets to the event; as much as we’d love to see them, loud shows are not a healthy environment for animals with sensitive hearing.

Artists can also donate their works to the event. Donated art can be any work on paper (old or new) and should be unframed (all work will be hung with wire and/or T-pins). We are also asking that all pieces be no larger than 20×24 so we can plan space accordingly and should be priced reasonably (the max price is $50 since this is a cash and carry event). Because of the quantity of work going into this show, we are asking that everything be either dropped off or received by no later than Sunday July 5th.
