Today marks the official release of Bleed-Abide, the crushing new full-length from Florida deathcore outfit BODYSNATCHER, out NOW on MNRK Heavy!

An epic demonstration of aggression and brawn, the quartet’s third album is a sound born from the burden of struggle and an unwavering commitment to continued survival against all obstacles. Unquestionably their darkest offering to date, Bleed-Abide burns with an intensity derived from a further focus on sonic pummeling and truth-telling narratives.

Decibel Magazine hails a band, “clearly gifted with the power of the pummeling riff and hard-hitting, hardcore-infused lyrical prowess.” BrooklyVegan notes plainly, “it rips.” New Noise Magazine writes, “The next time you want to torture someone who says they don’t like angry music, you can’t go wrong blasting them out with… Bleed-Abide. These thirteen tracks of straight Floridian tough-guy deathcore are filled to the brim with unadulterated rage and hostility. There’s no shortage here of hairy knuckle slams, jarring grooves, and pit-stomping two-steps.” New Transcendence champions the band’s, “….most comprehensive release to date,” further elaborating, “Stopping at nothing to absolutely obliterate the listener, BODYSNATCHER provides a robust full-length record with practically no filler, steamrolling the listener between a cavalcade of crushing aggression. In a time where violence is abundant in every aspect of our lives, BODYSNATCHER finds a way to channel it into music and make it stand out and resonate with the listener — while still knocking some teeth out in the process.” Adds Distorted Sound, “A full length deathcore release can run the risk of becoming too formulaic but BODYSNATCHER have plenty of tricks up their sleeves to guarantee you are firmly engaged with every second of this rollercoaster from hell. Their skill set enables them to be just as comfortable getting down and dirty with the slower, beatdown elements as they are hitting you with rapid rounds of pure carnage.”

Bleed-Abide was recorded by the band’s Chris Whited at 1776 Recordings with drums engineered by Neil Westfall and Bud Phillips at The Unicorn Room, and guitars reamped by Phil Pluskota at Sonic Assault Studio. The record comes cloaked in the cover art of Adam Burke. Callously grim, ferocious, and threatening, crackling beneath the weight of its own fury and power, BODYSNATCHER’s Bleed-Abide puts the “core” back in deathcore.

Monikered after the nickname of one of history’s most notorious serial killers, Ed Gein, BODYSNATCHER – Kyle Medina (vocals), Kyle Carter (guitar), Kyle Shope (bass), and Chris Whited (drums) – formed with the

purest of intentions. “I was around seventeen,” recalls Medina. “We were just going to be a ‘breakdown band’ for my friends to mosh to.” Featuring a lineup that overlapped at various points with beloved groups like King Conquer and Dealey Plaza, BODYSNATCHER released a quick succession of albums and EPs, most notably Abandonment (2015), Death Of Me (2017), and the utterly crushing This Heavy Void (2020). Combined with a blistering live show, this led to a deal with the MNRK Heavy label and the forthcoming Bleed-Abide.

All members contribute to the lyrics, resulting in multiple points of view and diverse insights anchored by common themes of catharsis and resistance, adding further weight to their already punishing hymns. “Absolved Of The Strings And Stone” is a battle cry against the gaslighting and emotional abuse of toxic people. “Hollow Shell”delves into strained familial dynamics, where some family members live as virtual prisoners to others. “Wired For Destruction” confronts death anxiety. Even amidst the uncertainty and darkness however, there’s an underlying positivity to be mined within. “Value Through Suffering” takes a proactive stance on hardship, a way to rebuild from the wreckage.

And while many bands resist genre classification in an aloof effort to distinguish themselves from every other band, inadvertently consigning themselves to talking points that sound like everyone else, BODYSNATCHER is, without apology, a deathcore band. There is no compromise in the cards. “Deathcore kicks ass. A lot of bands shy away from labels they don’t deem ‘cool’ enough. But we don’t give a fuck,” vocalist Kyle Medina says proudly. “We like what we like, and we play what we play. We all love hardcore and metal, so we’re going to play hardcore, play metal, and play breakdowns. And that’s how the band is going to be, forever.”
