CALL OF THE VOID today reveals a brand new lyric video for “Endless Ritual Abuse.” Hosted by Blow The Scene, the song comes by way of the band’s Dragged Down A Dead End Path full-length set to drop next month via Relapse Records. Formerly known as Ironhorse, CALL OF THE VOID churn a bastardized mesh of filthy powerviolence-charred hardcore.
Featuring more than 25 minutes of confrontational audio hate, the ten-track Dragged Down A Dead End Path was recorded at the Boar’s Nest in Salt Lake City, Utah by Andy Patterson and mastered by Chris Mcnaughton. Opines Echoes And Dust in an early impression of the record: “From start to finish, Dragged Down A Dead End Path is a blast of hardcore mixed with metal. Not ‘metalcore’… what people think of when those genres are mentioned in the same sentence. Bottom line: CALL OF THE VOID brings ten dirty, heavy as hell, tracks of in-your-face urgency.” Adds HeavyBlogIsHeavy, “…vocalist Steve Vanica is truly vicious. Obvious points of reference would be other crusty-core bands such as Gaza, Early Graves and to a certain extent Nails, but at the same time the band manage to invoke some of the dark punk-y groove of Trap Them, that’s too often overlooked by bands of their ilk.”

Dragged Down A Dead End Path will see digital, CD and LP North American release on March 19th, preceded by European release dates of March 15th in Germany, Benelux and Finland, and March 18th in the UK and all other territories.
Additionally, CALL OF THE VOID kicked off their three-week roadside takeover this weekend. Ravaging the country alongside Ambassador Gun on select dates, the tour will include four appearances at SXSW including the Relapse Records/Chaos In Tejas showcase at Red 7 alongside labelmates Inter Arma, ASG, Royal Thunder, Howl and Black Tusk. See updated itinerary below.
