Bellingham, Washington-based face-melting laser metal trio DOG SHREDDER‘s previously announced Brass Tactics 12″ has now been confirmed to hit the streets this April 17th via Seattle’s Good To Die Records.
The blistering act’s second vinyl release, following their 2010-unleashed Boss Rhino EP, the three mountainously diverse, brazen tracks on Brass Tactics show the band further progressing their own bastardized alloy of vigorous metallic mayhem. Recorded and mixed by Adam B. Pike at Portland’s Toadhouse Studio and Paul Turpin at Bellingham’s Champion Street Sound Studios, and mastered by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering in Seattle, Brass Tactics’ three slabs of calculated chaos that capture DOG SHREDDER‘s live energy with an ultra crisp delivery.
Today Pitchfork is hosting the first public listen to the new madness from DOG SHREDDER with a premiere of the first track on Brass Tactics. Have your cranium liquefied by “Battle Toads” RIGHT HERE.
DOG SHREDDER have confirmed a smattering of live appearances throughout the Northwest in support of the release of Brass Tactics, including two record release shows in April and a trio of dates in early May. A more extensive West Coast tour is being devised for early June and will be announced in the coming weeks.
