GODHUNTER Debuts Violent New Video For “Cassandra Complex” From Double-LP With Destroyer Of Light Via Cvlt Nation

As the massive split double-12″ album, GODHUNTER vs. DESTROYER OF LIGHT: Endsville, grows closer to release at the end of July, GODHUNTER has just issued an official video hailing from their contribution to the record.

GODHUNTER brings their nearly five-minute-long “Cassandra Complex” psalm to life through a new video for the track; its grim but groove-laden doom metal thunder delivered through an incredibly brutal barrage of footage capturing our violent society in action. Not meant to simply garner shock value for the sake of offending viewers, the video showcases this rampant bloodshed and disregard for our fellow man as a wake-up call to the burning world. Created by Frank Huang (Metal Injection’s Pit Full Of Shit), the completely NSFW new video sees release through Cvlt Nation for the first time. This is the world you live in; you’ve been warned.

Endure the brutality of GODHUNTER’s “Cassandra Complex” via Cvlt Nation RIGHT HERE.

The lyric video for DESTROYER OF LIGHT’s “Electric Shadows” is also playing at The Obelisk RIGHT HERE, and the Endsville art installation trailer at Gear Gods HERE.

Endsville sees a joint release through GODHUNTER co-owned Battleground Records and DESTROYER OF LIGHT‘s Heavy Friends Records on July 28th, a 180-gram gatefold 2xLP with each bands’ platter on a different color of vinyl; GODHUNTER‘s on translucent green and DESTROYER OF LIGHT‘s on translucent red. Preorders for the vinyl are live HERE and the digital HERE.

The day following the release of the album, GODHUNTER and DESTROYER OF LIGHT will embark on their massive Endsville tour together, which sees GODHUNTER touring the East Coast for the first time. The trek will also include performances from both bands at the Death To False Metal Festival in Hamden, Connecticut on August 14th and 15th with Whiplash, Krieg, Secrets Of The Sky, Valkyrie, Imperial Triumphant, Nightbitch, Immortal Bird, Secret Cutter and more.

GODHUNTER vs. DESTROYER OF LIGHT: Endsville bears twenty minutes of new material and a cover track from each band. Tucson/Vancouver-based metallic doom/sludge bandits, GODHUNTER, captured the tunes for their platter at WaveLab Studios in Tucson by Dana Fehr (North, Juarez), the newest in a steady line of titles since their 2014-released debut LP, City Of Dust, including their GH/OST:S split LP with Secrets Of The Sky and The Outer Dark collaborative 7″ with Amigo The Devil. The adjoining slab by Austin-based psychedelic doom outfit, DESTROYER OF LIGHT, follows the band’s 2012-released self-titled debut album and 2014’s Bizarre Tales Vol. II EP, recorded at Orb Recording Studios in Austin, engineered and mixed by Matt Meli. The entire album was then mastered by James Plotkin, and fitted with album artwork created from an incredibly complex sculpture art installation by Bestia Dentro and photography by Andrew Weiss.
