Lisbon, Portugal-based psychedelic rock unit MISS LAVA is pleased to present their lyric video for “Dark Tomb Nebula.” Now playing courtesy of New Noise Magazine, the track comes by way of the band’s Under A Black Sun full-length, set for release on April 25 through Small Stone Recordings.

Carrying a darker and heavier emotional weight than their previous outings, the band’s fifth album is the first record with drummer Pedro Gonçalves and, marking their 20th anniversary, celebrates the band’s longevity. “It has been a hell of a ride since we started rehearsing in a small studio in Lisbon back in 2005,” confirms guitarist K. Raffah. “Having this record come out twenty years later with a partner like Small Stone is the best thing we could wish for. Now we just need to get out there and play these songs live everywhere we can!”

Comments vocalist Johnny Lee on MISS LAVA’s latest single,  “‘Dark Tomb Nebula’ is a metaphor for life as a journey through space – a stormy Jovian existence filled with adversity. Though we manage to shine in immense darkness, some certainties remain: we are born in light, we walk a turbulent and ever-darkening path, surrounded by black holes that threaten to consume us, until we reach our inevitable end.”

Adds New Noise, “[It’s a] seven-minute epic with heavy prog elements, the song’s space themes make for a truly trippy and rockin’ experience.”
