Having independently released their Self Titled debut LP (yeah, it’s named that) earlier this year, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based trio, SECRET CUTTER, is now set on devouring fans and unsuspecting victims in the live setting throughout the region and beyond in support of the LP.
SECRET CUTTER‘s latest live itinerary includes the band’s confirmed inclusion in the upcoming Brooklyn-based Uninvited Fest, a massive four-day event to take place in Gowanus, Brooklyn, running from September 18th through 21st. Set to transform a section of the neighborhood into an outdoor community for artists, musicians, motorcycle enthusiasts, skateboarders and more, with live music, food, booze, vendors, cinema, DJs, open skate sessions on a sponsored ramp setup and more, Uninvited Fest sees SECRET CUTTER listed among Mothership, Captain Beyond, Subrosa, Mount Salem, The Skull, Black Cobra, Sasquatch, Lo Pan, Orchid, The Shrine, Lecherous Gaze, Weedeater, Elder and many others among the list of bands confirmed to perform. Additionally, SECRET CUTTER is set to shred Allentown with a headlining show this Thursday, August 28th.
With over twenty-six minutes of new material, fully produced by the band at drummer Jared Stimpfl’s Captured Recording Studios, a maelstrom of SECRET CUTTER‘s forceful songwriting, and eclectic, brutal musical dementia comes alive with ten vigorous tracks. The record’s grating, murderous grind/sludge-inclined metallic disgust is literally murdering the masses with rave reviews pouring in from all types of media outlets worldwide. Available through their own Bethlehem Rust label, Self Titled is available for digital download as well as LP, in three different colors of vinyl which all include a digital download is included. Stream and order the album HERE.
Additional live actions will be announced throughout the coming weeks and the rest of 2014 as Secret Cutter continues to write new material for their next release.

“Secret Cutter appeal to a lot of different appetites–sludge heads looking for something a little more complicated than rote Eyehategod worship, old hardcore dudes wanting to go heavier but avoid sounding like Nails, and most of all, those committed to the mosh. They would be foolish not to tour with Xibalba or Harms Way.” – Pitchfork
“… the band Billy Anderson would listen to if he was having the worst day of his life… Self Titled defies categorization by acting as a round-up of heavy albums’ heavy parts. Sludgy, thrashy, grindy; doesn’t matter. As long as it’s bruising, it’ll make the cut.” – Invisible Oranges
“Take the anarcho-hardcore of bands like Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Coalesce, and Converge and then meld it together using molten lava and brimstone with the sludge filled bile of bands like Eyehategod and Buzzov-en, and you’d have a close approximation of just how nasty this record is.” – Metal Insider
“You won’t believe it but the band is a three piece, with just a drummer, guitar player, and vocalist. Your jaw will be on the floor less than ten seconds into the first track.” – Echoes And Dust
“A three piece shouldn’t sound this heavy, but Allentown, Pennsylvania’s Secret Cutter manages to pull off the impossible…” – About.com
“No nonsense crushing music, vocals that are delivered with raw animal power, with a mix and master that compliment the music. This is not over produced or under produced.” 9/10″ – This Is Not A Scene
“If you’re into this type of frantic, constantly changing hardcore/grind/sludge that has the power to knock you on your ass and blow out your speakers, go pick up a copy of this right now.” – Cosmos Gaming
“Self Titled will kick you in the head; it’s a wake up call; it’s a call to arms; it says we’re better than you without trying. 4.5/5” – Yell Magazine
