Stereogum.com today premiered the track “Even Saints Knew Their Hour Of Failure And Loss,” from THE BODY’s latest soul-raping full-length All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood. The dense, diverse seven tracks on All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood form of the most twisted releases in recent doom metal history. The typical duo of THE BODY have teamed up with The Assembly Of Light Choir on this damning album, adding a totally mind engulfing, spine-chilling and downright freaky twist to the band’s already devastating doom, resulting in astonished, bewildered praise from Pitchfork, The New York Times, Decibel, Terrorizer, Metal Hammer, Rue Morgue and countless other major and D.I.Y. media outlets internationally in recent months.

The Rhode Island-based duo embarked on a two-month long tour in July in support of the release, and are about halfway through the venture as we speak, preparing to unleash hell on Denver tonight. Some of the dates are still being scheduled by the band themselves from the road, so stay tuned for updates on the rest of the tour.

“As the record continues, the beating just doesn’t stop. The choral voices, returning here and there, are the only ray of hope: the Body’s own singing amounts to weedy, apocalyptic howls, barely clearing the din of their processional stomps. It’s an experience, this record, written in big riffs and celestial choirs and digital static.” – The New York Times

“Like the best of Eyehategod or Bastard Noise, All the Waters is the rare album that feels truly dangerous… The record itself is a smartly designed simulacrum for the lyrics, recreating the sense of impending darkness by creating a sound that swallows itself… All the Waters of the Earth Turn to Blood is the seldom collapse-of-the-world record that’s actually as disturbing as it wants to be.” – Pitchfork

“One of the most unrelenting, riveting, odd and just plain special records of the year.”
– Brooklyn Vegan

“.. be prepared to look beyond the realms of traditional doom, or of conventional heaviness, because The Body are anything but traditional or conventional, and All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood just might be the coolest, weirdest, most original doom record EVER.” – Aquarius Records

“Ever since Black Sabbath’s debut 40 years ago, doom metal bands have been providing the soundtrack to the end of humanity, but Providence, Rhode Island’s The Body may be one of the first to make Armageddon sound truly scary.” – Rue Morgue Magazine
