“We are students to the very core of rock music spanning the ’60s and ’70s eras and our studies and love of it shape our artistic output… ‘Reflections In The Glass’ is a heavy nod to this important period of music and our sincere love for it.” – THE GOLDEN GRAS
In less than three weeks, Brooklyn, New York-based psychedelic retro rock trio THE GOLDEN GRASS will undrape their Coming Back Again full-length. Captured by Jeff Berner at Galuminum Foil Productions and slated for release next month via Listenable Records, Coming Back Again delivers a truly serpentine audio journey where the epic glory and might of ’70s psychedelia, the sun-drenched warmth of Laurel Canyon’s golden country/folk era and sheer blues-based Southern rock boogie give way to exploratory landscapes, lysergic prog arrangements and a swinging, jazz touch.
In advance of its release, today New Noise Magazine offers up the feel-good sounds of second cut, “Reflections In The Glass,” for public euphoria.
“THE GOLDEN GRASS has always worn its heart and inspiration on its sleeve,” elaborates the band of the latest teaser track, “We are students to the very core of rock music spanning the ’60s and ’70s eras and our studies and love of it shape our artistic output. While a majority of our songs could be categorized as heavy rock or hard rock or proto-metal even, none of these latently-coined-offshoots could have ever manifested in their original time without the earlier pre-psychedelic explorations of ’60s pop, which under the right producer and artists could still create a feeling both transcendent and magical in the listener. Such groups as The Left Banke, The Moody Blues, The Zombies, The Grass Roots and The Association are all prime examples of this era, and ‘Reflections In The Glass’ is a heavy nod to this important period of music and our sincere love for it.”

Coming Back Again will be available on CD, limited edition colored vinyl and digitally on April 15th in North America and April 22nd in Europe. Preorders are available now at THIS LOCATION.
Influenced by the likes of such American rock legends as The James Gang, The Allman Brothers, and Grand Funk Railroad, the soulful British psych/mod of The Move, The Pretty Things, and The Action, and the heavy umph of Budgie, Blue Cheer and Blackfoot, THE GOLDEN GRASS synthesizes their influences into a seamless, memorable, and high-energy performance that screams from the past but is a welcome and much needed presence in the now.
In support of their forthcoming new album, THE GOLDEN GRASS will embark on their third European tour this coming May which already includes an appearance at the legendary Freak Valley Festival. A full listing of dates will be announced in the coming weeks. Stand by.
