XIBALBA To Issue EP Through Closed Casket Activities; Track Playing At Clrvynt + Preorders And Tour Dates Announced

Pomona, California’s XIBALBA will unleash their latest set of recordings in the form of Diablo, Con Amor… Adios, a new three-song EP set for release in February through Closed Casket Activities, with a new track now playing at Clrvynt.

One year since the release of their Southern Lord-released Tierra Y Libertad LP, XIBALBA returns with three monstrous new acts of vengeance on Diablo, Con Amor… Adios, the EP delivering the gritty, downtuned, metallic hardcore grooves the band’s followers have come to expect from the quintet over the past seven years. As with their prior titles, Diablo, Con Amor… Adios was recorded at The Pit Recording Studio with longtime cohort Taylor Young (Nails, Twitching Tongues, Disgrace) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Integrity, Nails, Harm’s Way), XIBABLA also once again secured artwork from Dan Seagrave (Dismember, Entombed, Suffocation) to visually depict the wrath of these three relentless tracks.

With the EP’s announcement, Clrvynt has issued the lead track to Diablo, Con Amor… Adios, “Diablo,” alongside an exclusive interview with vocalist Nate Rebolledo, the outlet offering of the new track, “Southern California’s XIBALBA are one of a few hardcore-focused bands that are pushing the genre further into uncharted territory. Kicking off as a hardcore band with more widely accepted influences like Obituary and Celtic Frost, Nathan Rebolledo and team have expanded their sound to incorporate elements of black metal, death metal and more.”

Closed Casket Activities will release Diablo, Con Amor… Adios on February 17th, the 7″ pressed on electric blue with olive/blue splatter, orange with bronze splatter, and solid electric blue color schemes. Preorders including merch bundles are now live RIGHT HERE.

Following a string of shows in Mexico this past week, XIBALBA will execute two short tours surrounding the release of Diablo, Con Amor… Adios. First, the band endures an East Coast run through Cambridge, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn from February 17th through 19th. Returning home, the band will hit the West Coast, swith shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Pomona, February 24th through 26th. XIBALBA continues to book new shows for the coming months, the band also confirmed to play in Tacoma on April 1st. Stand by for additional tour dates to be issued.
